The Team realises the challenges facing the developing world in fulfilling the SD goals and objectives since its evolution at the Rio de Janeiro’s Earth Summit, 1992, and the recent United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of 2015 for the 2030. No country has yet achieved full transformation; however, there are valuable examples worth studying and visiting by policy and decision-makers, and urban planners.
The SDD Team will assist and work closely with relevant parties of national local governments and all related stakeholders all over the world to:
○ Promote and improve their SD process’s approach, policy, strategy, and programmes study, identify, and analyse needs at various levels and recommend the most innovative feasible (immediate, medium, and long-term) solutions
○ Assist in building capacity and related culture for SD at the national, regional, local, and corporation levels, including exchange programmes, technical visits, workshops, seminars, conferences, and hands-on training
